Classes & Intensives

During this time of social distancing and stay-at-home orders, we want to offer personal growth opportunities for you. View this page to see our Webinars on each Wednesday in April at 10am, 1pm and 8pm.

As we seek to help you grow in your relationship with God, we are creating several Core Classes that we hope every person who calls Grace home will find time to invest in. Being a disciple means literally to become a learner, and so we have chosen to create several continual learning opportunities. Our hope in these classes is that we will all become life-long learners of the Words, Ways and Works of God in our lives and in our world.

We also know that you are very busy and that learning for many of you will need to be available on the journey and not simply in the classroom. That is why we are working hard to deliver the Class content to you in several different ways:

Weekly Classes: Weekly classes will be offered in both the Fall and Spring Seasons. These 10-12 weekly sessions will be offered at a predictable time each week for the duration of the season.

Weekend Intensives: Because we know many of you may have difficulty finding a weekly time to attend our Core Classes, we are also offering classes as Weekend Intensives which will help you grab hold of our Core Content in a concentrated way through a Friday evening and all day Saturday experience.

SPRING 2020 CLASSES

Tuesday Mornings for Men in the High School Room
Do you have a life worth imitating? Is anyone following you? Has anyone picked up the way of Jesus in and through your life? If you answered “No” to any of these questions, you might want to pause a second and ask “Why not?” Discipleship 101 is a course built to help you look more like who you were always destined to be, by teaching and training you in the words, ways and works of Jesus. It teaches you how to get a life others might want. And it helps you learn to lead others by training you on how to give that life away. Coffee and Chick-fil-A biscuits available.

Wednesdays at the 1123 House / Worship 101
Whether we realize it or not, “worship” is part of our everyday lives. We may not call it “worship” but we certainly revere and give honor to many different things. When it comes to this vast practice of worship, we need to get past the notion that it’s simply about songs & Sundays. Worship is the holistic honor we give to something or someone worthy of it. More than anything or anyone else, Jesus is worthy of our of our worship. Yet, so many of us can seem static, confused or bored in how we actually give our worship to God. Whether the expression is communal or individual, there are many Scriptures, stories and resources that can provide a vivid framework for how we can grow in our worship and adoration toward the Lord. We want to invite you into this journey of opening up the Bible and discovering what worship looks like for those throughout the Scriptures, and what it could look like in our lives today. If you’ve been around Grace long, you know we love to worship together on Sunday mornings, but what does it look like outside of Sunday morning for you personally and your family? Join us as we consider and discover this together. Childcare available.

So join us for teaching, training and tactics around how to establish an extended family on mission – a force that not only has potential to make incredible Kingdom breakthrough, but also just might help all of us enjoy our lives to the fullest.

Thursday Mornings for Ladies / Listening Prayer 1: Learning to Listen to God and Live in Freedom
Here at Grace, we believe the truth of scripture that says the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but that God has come to set us free and bring abundant life (John 8, 10:10). We all experience hindrances that impact our thoughts and behaviors and keep us from living in health and wholeness. When we invite the truth of the Holy Spirit to speak into these places, we begin to experience the freedom and abundance that Scripture describes. Listening Prayer 1 provides training on how to hear from God and invite Him to speak life into dead places and bring hope to situations that may seem hopeless. Childcare available.
