As you might expect, the cake was ruined.
When we read the Bible, we see that God designed the world to work in certain ways. While mistaking salt for sugar may not touch the deepest and most important currents of the cosmos, it is a familiar example that helps illustrate the point.
But what about the deeper and more important currents of the cosmos? What are the things that we cannot neglect if we expect to live well in God’s world?
With relentless clarity, Hosea tells us God’s desire for one thing we simply must get right. It is one of the most important ways we show true love toward God.
