If you know the language of “texting” you recognize those three letters are code for “Oh My God!” You do not have to be familiar with the world of texting to hear those three words casually thrown around in response to everything, from discovering someone is expecting a baby, to a surprise home renovation, to a last minute come-from-behind football victory. We hear the phrase so often that many, if not most, have forgotten that these words are critical–even decisive–in the destiny of a people.
God made a promise to His People:
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
To begin this series, we are going to pray as the disciples prayed, “Lord teach us to pray.”
