One of the questions we need to be asking as we seek to make disciples in our own lives is how did Jesus choose his disciples? What was it about certain people that drew Jesus to them? In the disciple Matthew I believe we get a clue into what one of these motivations may well be. Matthew was a tax collector, a man of wealth and affluence and yet there was something in him that caused him to lay down everything when Jesus offered his invitation.
I’m excited to be with you at Grace Snellville this Sunday to explore the life of Matthew and to see how his specific call can truly shape and inform our own disciple making journey.
