First, a quick reminder to everyone who has ever been born: this Sunday is Mother’s Day! You know what to do… Make sure to honor the good women in your lives who have sacrificed and poured out love to raise you! Families will be dedicating their babies to God, and we will pray for the precious women in our church and beyond.
Second, we will begin the final chapter of our One Story series through the Bible this week, digging into the book of Revelation to explore how God’s great plans for the future impact the way we live every day.
Now, you might be wondering how those two things fit together. What in the world does Mother’s Day have to do with the apocalypse?!? I must admit, I’ve been asking the same question! But the Word is always powerfully relevant to our lives, and as I’ve studied the first parts of Revelation this week, one theme continues to emerge: Jesus’ promises to “the one who conquers.”
What does it mean to “conquer?” How do we persevere? What does victory look like? All of us need to know the answers to those questions, moms and dads and kids alike.
