STUDENTS

Welcome to Grace Student Ministries. Let us say, first of all, We Love Students!

We view students as uniquely created and gifted individuals who are loved by God. It’s our desire, and our mission, to see young people become life-long students who are ever-seeking and ever-discovering the glory of God, His heart, His will, and His ways. And, their own place and role in His eternal kingdom.

Grace Student Ministries operates as a leadership umbrella for the Middle School (LUG), High School (TrueNorth) and College (college@grace) ministries of Grace Snellville, and as a leadership resource for other Grace Fellowship Church campuses. We also operate as a liaison to school campus ministries and movements along with other student-focused or student-led organizations. We partner with parents and others who are interested in investing in the lives of students and we feel that communication is vital to functioning as a healthy, effective team.

Grace’s middle school ministry, called LUG (short for Living Under Grace), is home to hundreds of middle school students and a whole host of caring volunteers. The major LUG gatherings are LUG-Church on Sundays at 9:00 am (year-round) and LUG on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm (school year schedule). LUG-church focuses primarily on teaching and worship while LUG on Wednesdays is centered around small group Bible studies and interaction. Each of these small LUG groups include a handful or two of students who are led by a LUG-head (a high schooler) and overseen by a parent volunteer. The Wednesday gatherings also mix in a bit of middle school fun and offer kids an opportunity to worship God together as a large group with 500-1000 fellow students. And that’s just for starters. There’s a lot more going on with LUG and we hope you’ll check it out.

TrueNorth is the ministry home for high school students at Grace. United in a passion for following the One who is constant and unchanging in His love for us, these students gather in large and small groups to worship, to study God’s Word, to pray, to encourage one another, and to minister to others. The largest gathering is TrueNorth A.M. which is held every Sunday morning at 9:00 in the High School Room. The smallest gatherings are called D-Groups (“D” is for discipleship) and they meet at various times and in various places throughout the week. Other weekly, monthly and seasonal activities (ministry, missions, social, and study opportunities) also take place throughout the year.

College@Grace is the home base for Grace Snellville’s ministry to college students and other college age individuals who are part of the Snellville campus ministry or who live away at a college campus but consider Grace Snellville their home church. The college ministry emphasizes worship and the study of God’s Word along with ministry to others in practical ways for college age adults. College@Grace also hosts monthly worship events, called Transition, which are often taken on the road to college campuses throughout the Southeast.
